The Australian delegation at the Olympic Games Londres2012 revealed today that a rower in the country was arrested by British authorities, and later released by from a window.

The Chief of Mission Australia, Nick Green, said Josh Booth, 21, fainted at the police station and was taken to the hospital, adding that the athlete was drunk.

The rower, who 12 hours earlier had competed in the race eight with coxswain - the sixth place for Australia - has been released and that was without any complaint.

"We think there was alcohol involved," said Green, who received a call from the police at 3:00 a.m., when he was in the Olympic village.

Nick Green said that will not speculate about possible disciplinary action, requiring more information regarding the incident.

Before the Games, the Australian Olympic Committee pointed out as objectives to be among the top five countries in the medals table, but the results are very different: Australia is 15. Second with nine medals (one gold, six silvers and two bronzes).
